Hello there! I’m Chardae, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to teach in the dynamic and enriching learning environments of dual language and IB schools throughout my teaching career. I must admit, IB schools are hands down my favorite. My journey as a classroom teacher has been a delightful dance through the primary grades. It all began with the boundless energy of kindergarten, followed by the lively adventures of 3rd grade, and finally, I concluded my time in the magical realm of 1st grade. These experiences laid the foundation for my current role as a Digital Teacher Librarian (DTL).

In my capacity as a DTL, I find profound joy in nurturing our students’ critical thinking skills and fostering media literacy. Empowering our learners with the tools to navigate our ever-evolving world is not just a job; it's a passion. Recently, I celebrated the completion of my master’s degree in Learning Design and Technology–a transformative journey that has shaped me as a leader and educator in my school.

Beyond the captivating world of books and technology, my husband and I are the proud parents of two wonderful boys. Currently, our oldest is embarking on his preschool journey, offering me a unique and delightful perspective on education from a parent’s lens.
